Manual vs Electronic Limits

‘Limits’ refer to the stopping points (top and bottom) of your blinds. Manual and Electronic refers to how you set those limits.

Manual Limits

Come in the form of adjustable screws on the motor head.

Pros
Cons
No extra hardware / software needed.
Inaccessible if blinds are hard to reach.
Slower setup (especially at scale)
Less accurate and consistent
Cannot have more than one blind operated off a single switch. (without a relay)

Electronic Limits

Set either with a radio remote, a programming tool, or an online interface.

Faster setup (especially at scale)
Hardware / software needed in some cases
More accurate and consistent
Helpful for hard-to-reach blinds
Can have multiple blinds operated off one switch. (without a relay)
